2019 THANKSGIVING BASKET PROJECT
 
The Outreach Committee of the Duxbury Interfaith Council is planning the preparation of Thanksgiving food baskets to distribute to our less fortunate neighbors.  This has become a major community endeavor, and we are asking for your help.  We are grateful for your continued support, as there are over 100 recipient families.

​HOW TO HELP?
 
DONATIONS OF MONEY:  Please make check payable to the Duxbury Interfaith Council and mail to P.O. Box 1161, Duxbury, MA  02331. 
 
DONATIONS OF FOOD:  Please drop off all non-perishable items at Holy Family Church, 601 Tremont Street, on Saturday, Nov. 23rd from 9:00 to 12:00 pm and Sunday, Nov. 24th from 12:00 to 2:00 pm. 
Non-perishable donations needed:
Canned Goods:  Yellow and Green vegetables, Cranberry Sauce, Canned Gravy
Juice:  Non-frozen concentrated juice mix
Boxed Goods: Pasta, Cold Cereals, Rice
Packaged Dessert Mixes: Quick Bread, Muffins, Brownie, Cake & Frosting
Baked Goods: Cookies, Brownies, Squares, Cupcakes, Quick Breads, Pies.- Baked goods should be dropped off on Sunday, Nov. 24 th and Monday, Nov. 25 th.
 
**We can not accept glass containers or food past its expiration date.**
 
PACKING AND SORTING:  We are always in need of volunteers.  Any amount of time is helpful, and parents are welcome to bring children on Monday (filling baskets), Nov. 25th from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and Tuesday, Nov. 26th from 9:00 -12:00.                             
 
BASKET PICK UP AND DELIVERIES: Tuesday, Nov.  26th from 12:00 – 4:00 pm (Strong adults only, please). Most recipients pick up their baskets. We need help loading the baskets into cars and drivers willing to deliver baskets to individual homes.
