The Duxbury Interfaith Council began as the Council of Churches over 75 years ago.  The name changed in 1997 to better reflect the religious diversity of the community. Today, the Council strives to celebrate and nurture the spiritual substance of its members and the community.

The Mission of the Duxbury Interfaith Council is to:
* Nourish the spirit of understanding and cooperation among diverse religious institutions and people of faith in the Duxbury community and to be a visible example of tolerance and respect between faiths.
* Provide opportunities for all people in Duxbury to join in interfaith programs including worship, charity and education.
* To lift up by word and deed the values of kindness, compassion, and respect for the common humanity of all.

The Duxbury Interfaith Council is a 501C(3) organization.
